I got a DEXA Scan!

It’s not my first one, but the other ones I got way back in like 2008 when I was many many (many) many (many many) pounds lighter, when the technology was so new you had to go to the Kinesiology Department of the University of Texas and call a dude to help you wind your way through the halls of the football stadium to these offices that 99% of the students probably never knew existed….but it was cool to see the results, and the head….Doctor? Researcher? I don’t remember who or what he was, but he paid me the best compliment I’ve ever gotten. I was down to about 175 lbs and I had been lifting heavily for a while, and I told him my goal weight was 145 lbs. He looked at me and said “With the amount of muscle you have, you will never weigh 145 lbs.” ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyway. Here are the results, which sadly they gave to me in PDF format so you will have to see little screenshots. I ‘m pretty pleased – EXCEPT for the fact that I was a little too wide to fit on the scanner table, so they had to just “Mirror” the results from one side to other. So what sucks is that I don’t get the break down of left arm vs. right arm, left leg vs. right leg. But hopefully next time I’ll be smaller and be able to see the whole enchilada. Also, hooray for one of the few benefits of being overweight – super dense bones! Notice my value is off the chart – nothing’s breaking these babies!

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
