Yeah I know it’s already February, but January was a slog and let’s be honest, the year doesn’t really kick off until my birthday which is NEXT WEEK!

So let’s talk about January for a minute b/c it was brutal. I spent literally every weekend sick or injured. I’m still kind of torn up, but finally getting better, so I thought you know, I never did solidify any goals for this year. And since I’m officially 44 in ONE WEEK FROM TODAY I figured it’s time!

Goals for 2020:

  1. Do more things alone.
I am very independent, but I find myself afraid to go out of my comfort zone alone. Combined with this is the fact that my favorite adventure partner is embarking on an adventure I can’t participate in (aka she’s preggo) it’s time for me to start pursuing all the things I want to do!
  2. Workout consistently
Find a program, set a schedule, and stick to. Consistency is key to gains and it’s something I’m very bad at, especially left to my own devices as I tend to just do whatever I feel like in the moment. On the flip side, I often flounder thinking I’m not doing enough or what I should and then I start looking at programs to follow and usually sign up for something that I never do. So the goal is to find something that works that I will do and be consistent.
  3. Spend more quality time with my animals
They’re not here forever and it’s easy to get caught up in work and other stuff. I want to look back and know that I got the most out of our time together.
  4. Get completely out of debt
This one should be possible and easy, but man do I like to spend money.
  5. Have at least $10,000 in savings
The goal is to save much more eventually but debt has to come first.

That’s all I can think of for now, maybe more later.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
