So, I found out about this challenge that I really want to try called 75 Hard. It consists of the following every day for 75 days:

  1. Follow a diet (any diet)
  2. Two 45-minute workouts/day, one of which has to be outside
  3. Drink 1 gallon of water
  4. Read 10 pages of a non-fiction book
  5. Take a progress pic

I tried to start on Friday and honestly the hardest part was the water….I regularly drink about 64 oz. of water a day. A gallon is double that at 128 oz. I chugged the 64 oz in the morning and felt gross and bloated, and didn’t drink anything else until like 10pm. I also meant to get up early and get in a walk, but that didn’t happen….which told me that this challenge is going to take more planning than I realized.

SO. Day 1 is today. Took my progress pics, drinking my 64 oz of water a little slower, got my workouts planned, got healthy meals for the week planned….I’m ready! I feel like this is really going to push my overall Project Kassandra transformation to the next level, particularly with the workouts. The first thing I thought was “Ugh, 45 minutes is SO LONG.” But man, I’m kind of in a workout rut – I’ve been swimming a TON and I’ve improved a lot, but I also feel like I’ve adapted to it. I’ve also kind of lost interest in Centr (I did 4 of the 6 weeks of Centr 6) – when I think about it, I’m working out once a day for 30 minutes. That’s okay, but it’s not going to get me into bad ass, ass-kicking shape.

So starting today, July 26th, and ending Friday October 9th. Let’s do this!
