I’ve been taking this class on project management via Google to get a certificate and I got to the part about goal setting. They advocate for SMART goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. I was thinking about how weight loss goals are never like that, and then it led me to think – what if you could project manage weight loss like you do software development? I have 8+ years of Program Management experience, and I’m pretty good at it – why don’t I manage my weight loss like an official project? I could do 1-week sprints, have retrospectives, track everything on Trello….why not? If it works, it would be an awesome story for an interview!
I went and set up a Trello Board for what I am calling Project Kassandra. I’m going to create a project plan in another entry and start my first sprint next Monday!
