After being sick and barely functional for pretty much the last two weeks, I finally felt like I turned the corner yesterday – I felt less crappy when I woke up, I was able to focus better, and most exciting, I was able to breathe through my nose! I thought I should continue to take it easy, then I started cleaning my room and setting up this clothes rack I bought and well, I was bouncing around like a crazy person for a few hours with all this pent up energy so I figured I could make it back to the gym. I wanted to play it by ear, but my eyes popped open at 4:17 so yeah, time to get back to it.
I ended up doing an easy swim, I was deliberately not trying to push myself after being sick, and it went really well. I didn’t feel stressed or like I was having to really push myself to get through 25 minutes, and by the time it got crowded and annoying (looking at you, Captain Splashy – the point is NOT to slap your hands down on the water) I was almost done.
There was no sprint this week, I almost started a mini-one, but I thought that would just be setting myself up for failure, since I could really do nothing but sleep and Door Dash and there were a lot of treats happening. Assuming my road to recovery continues, Sprint 3 will start on Saturday.
