What a couple of months.

So I’m down to 307 last time I stood on a scale, which is awesome, and I have 3 shiny new Vyvanse prescriptions ready to go (well one is waiting at the pharmacy for insurance authorization) and more importantly this dropped today:

So yeah, that is the very first poster for Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to Wonder Woman, that comes out in exactly one year from today (June 5th, 2020.).

This seems like a pretty good time to kick off a summer challenge of trying to focus on lifting and martial arts training. It’s been too long since I practiced Kung Fu, and too long since I added more plates onto the Olympic bar, and I am absolutely craving that feeling of pushing through one last rep while everything hurts and you’re dying, or at least hoping you’re dying.

This is also a unique time for me, because my gym bestie is out of commission with an injured back for the next 6-8 weeks. All she can really do is walk in the pool, maybe swim a little which means I’m 100% on my own….which is fitting for reasons I’ll get into later, or maybe not at all, but let’s just say now is the perfect time to focus on strength and getting back to being super active because I don’t have a lot of other distractions happening.

My ideal scenario would be to attend ComicCon San Deigo in 2020 and cosplay as Wonder Woman. Warner Brother is actually not going this year, but WW 1984 drops in June of next year and SDCC is in July so I feel like there is a 100% chance Gal Gadot will be there. And I would pay any amount of money to get a picture taken with her!

First, though, I have to get into the shape that will make that happen. It sucks that I can’t really do an 1 rep max measurements without Gym Bestie – I mean I could try, but I don’t really want to be crushed to death under a bench press. I think, though, that I will spend tonight’s gym session getting as close as I can and record from there.

Goals for the Summer of Strong will come later.
