Not surprising to say, Sunday is a problem, but that’s an improvement, because it used to be the whole weekend was a problem and I’m down to only one day! And it definitely could have been worse, it just wasn’t great.
First, I went to bbq with my BFF, which is fine, but I got creamed corn as a side because the only viable sides they had are that and coleslaw (so I thought.) I figured it was on the carb-heavy side, but they only give you like 1/4 cup and I thought it was just corn and heavy cream, so like….15 carbs? Then I found out it’s made with a roux (which has flour) and sugar (ugh) so it’s probably way worse than I thought. No more of that!

Overall I need to be more active. I am definitely pro-rest days, but I didn’t even close my ring on Sunday – I came close, less than 100 calories away, but I just ran out of time to do it before I had to go to bed. I spent way too much of the day laying around – if I had made an effort to do a little house cleaning, for example, or gone for a walk before 9pm, I could have knocked it out.

Anyway.

This morning I started the Magnus WW84 program for real. I tried to start it two weeks ago, but wore old shoes for no good reason and they gave me a blister during the treadmill sprints that took a full 10 days to heal (which was definitely at least partly my fault, because I kept reopening it.) Let me just tell you, Magnus is a very bad person! Who TF starts off LEG DAY with TREADMILL SPRINTS? By the end of the workout I was a sweaty mess who could barely walk, I kept almost falling over every time I had to balance on one leg while getting dressed. This is kind of a weird program – it’s definitely not muscle-building focused. But it’s only 4 weeks and I’m not trying to build muscle per se anyway, and I think it will help me lose weight, sooo….suffer on I will. But still. It starts off with a 10 minute jog, which I definitely did not do – I walked. But I did do the sprints. Before I went and did a leg workout. Because Magnus is a terrible person. ๐Ÿ™‚

On another note, the gym is so crowded at 6am and I hate it. I miss being there at 5:15, but it’s so hard to get up at 4:30 and still get enough sleep. Today I dragged out of bed and hit snooze a few times, to the point where I thought I might not have enough time to sit on the hot tub, until the end of the workout where I was like oh hell no, if I want to walk later I need that hot tub. It was only like 2 minutes but I think it helped.
