What a day yesterday was!

I was on the fence about going to the pool, didn’t feel like it, then said fuck it I’m going. It was awesome. I was only there for about 30 minutes but it was sunny, the water was lovely, there was only one other person there, and all I could think was in 2+ years of working from home, how as this never occurred to me before?! So that is definitely going to be a regular thing, at least when it’s not overcast and lame like it is today.

After that I went to the barn – helped with chores, picked some green beans that barn owner generously gave me, and then did a short ride. I was so sweaty and tired by the end of it, I got home at 8:30 and almost didn’t eat dinner, but then thought that would be stupid so I ate my leftovers. Thank God I did not have to cook anything or I would have died, but it did make me think that going to the barn in the summer is going to take some planning. It generally takes me about two hours to get Griffy ready, ride, then untack him, clean everything, let him graze a bit, etc. If I get there at 6, that means I’ll get home at 8, and I have to be in bed at 9:30 to get up in time for the gym. That does not leave a lot of time to make dinner! So I’m wondering if I should eat dinner at 4, and then have a snack afterwards. I dunno. I like eating dinner to be the last thing I do at night, but then I’d have to make sure on barn nights that I didn’t have to cook. I can’t go before 6 because it’s getting hot, our first 100 degree day is supposed to be this weekend and it’s only May. This will take some experimentation.

In other news, not weighing is getting hard, which is stupid – it’s been 4 days! But I feel like I’ve done some great work the last few days and I’m anxious to see progress. On the flip side if I was only down like half a pound, I know I’d be disappointed, so this is probably a good thing. I’d be lying if I said I was not in better spirits this week.

I’m also going to try no Vyvanse today and tomorrow. Today was ok – I woke up at 4:15 (stupid bladder), was up for about 2 hours, then fell back asleep until 9 (oops.) It was fine, though, because today is Cardio Day and I just did it in my workout room around 10:45. Tomorrow my first meeting is at 7:30 and I have to go to the gym, so hopefully I won’t die.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
